The High Court Enforcement Officers Association (HCEOA) has announced the appointment of Vernon Phillips as its Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Phillips will be joining from the Enforcement Services Association where he is currently its Executive Director.

High Court Enforcement Officers Association has been updated that with effect from the 1st April the HM Court Service (HMCS) will become the HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS).
At this year’s Annual General Meeting, our Association officially launched its new educational pathway on how to become an Authorised Officer. This programme has been formulated in partnership with the Institute of Credit Management. Debbie Tuckwood from the ICM attended the training part of the day, and fielded questions on how the programme will work.
The High Court Enforcement Officers Association held its Annual General meeting at Yew Tree Lodge on May 20th 2011.
This year's AGM was attended by all classes of members, along with two representatives from the Ministry of Justice. The day started out with our Chairman - Martin Leyshon welcoming everyone to the AGM followed on by his report. There were five vacancies to the Board of Directors with six full members applying. The Board welcomed Peter Watt as its newest member, along with four other seasoned Board members.

HIGH Court enforcement officers (HCEOs) will not have an automatic right to enforce writs issued in their names when the Taking Control of Goods Act 2013 (TCGA) is implemented.
Since the Tribunals Courts and Enforcement Act (TCEA) gained Royal Assent there have been members of the HCEOA board who have worked tirelessly with the MoJ in advising, amending and agreeing a new fee structure, agreeing amendments to flawed legislation and moving forward; those very members will be involved in finalising the training and certification for Enforcement Agents post 6 April 2014.
The ICM has launched a Level 2 Award in Taking Control of Goods that has been developed in conjunction with the High Court Enforcement Officers Association (HCEOA).
The award is fully Ofqual accredited and approved by the Ministry of Justice and Skills for Security, and the first exams will be taken in July 2014.
