HMCTS Reform Update

Recently I read with interest the summer 2019 HMCTS reform programme update, noting with disappointment, that the end date for the project has been pushed back until July 2021 with the next updates to the programme not due until summer 2020 and potentially only being around Possessions.

As part of our program to ensure that the member’s directory is kept up to date, we have now added in the various business names that members use in addition to their name trading styles, under their entry.

There are still some details to be updated and these will be updated shortly. We do hope that you like the updated format, and if you do have any questions, please do just let us know.

Farewell and many thanks to Martin who retires as Chairman after 6 years in office and good luck to Andrew who takes over.

We are very excited to announce the launch of our newly designed website. The sites updated pages, features many enhancements to its style and presentation, and we wanted it to look and feel good, as well as being easy to navigate.

We have throughout the site updated many of the articles and added in additional information particularly around the changes of 2014, and the search facility is much enhanced making it easier to find information or help.

The High Court Enforcement Officers Association (HCEOA) has announced the appointment of Vernon Phillips as its Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Phillips will be joining from the Enforcement Services Association where he is currently its Executive Director.

Originally Reported in 2009 - The Lord Chancellor and Justice Secretary Jack Straw has announced that High Court Enforcement Officers (HCEOs) will be given the power to recover employment tribunal awards and settlements reached through ACAS conciliation.

HM Courts Service announces merger with the Tribunals Service and increase in Courts fees from 4th April 2011.

High Court Enforcement Officers Association has been updated that with effect from the 1st April the HM Court Service (HMCS) will become the HM Courts and Tribunals Service (HMCTS).

At this year’s Annual General Meeting, our Association officially launched its new educational pathway on how to become an Authorised Officer.  This programme has been formulated in partnership with the Institute of Credit Management. Debbie Tuckwood from the ICM attended the training part of the day, and fielded questions on how the programme will work.

The High Court Enforcement Officers Association held its Annual General meeting at Yew Tree Lodge on May 20^th 2011.

This year's AGM was attended by all classes of members, along with two representatives from the Ministry of Justice. The day started out with our Chairman - Martin Leyshon welcoming everyone to the AGM followed on by his report. There were five vacancies to the Board of Directors with six full members applying. The Board welcomed Peter Watt as its newest member, along with four other seasoned Board members.
