Consultation Paper on Transforming Bailiff Action

On Friday the 17th of February 2012, the Government finally produced the very long awaited and anticipated Consultation Paper on “transforming bailiff action”. The paper sets out the Governments proposals on how they intend to provide more protection against aggressive bailiffs and encourage more flexibility in bailiff collections.

The High Court Enforcement Officers Association held its Annual General meeting at Yew Tree Lodge on May 20th 2011.
This year's AGM was attended by all classes of members, along with two representatives from the Ministry of Justice. The day started out with our Chairman - Martin Leyshon welcoming everyone to the AGM followed on by his report. There were five vacancies to the Board of Directors with six full members applying. The Board welcomed Peter Watt as its newest member, along with four other seasoned Board members.

Association launches its educational programme
At this year’s Annual General Meeting, our Association officially launched its new educational pathway on how to become an Authorised Officer. This programme has been formulated in partnership with the Institute of Credit Management. Debbie Tuckwood from the ICM attended the training part of the day, and fielded questions on how the programme will work.
